Elena Mesonero has a degree in Economics and Business Administration by Deusto University and Master’s in Financial Markets. In recent years she has completed several executive programs focused on leadership and management done by IESE Business School ("Women at Boards of Directors") and by ESADE business school (“Executive Women Leadership”). Additionally, she is Certified by the Institute of Directors and Administrators (IC-A) in the Code of Good Governance at Boards of Directors.
Started her professional career in 1992 at Deutsche Bank, in the Securities Services area, first in Spain and afterwards in Germany, assuming different responsibilities. In 2001 she joined BNP Paribas Securities Services as Head of Sales & Relationship Management to develop the Spanish domestic institutions segment. End 2014, she joined Santander Securities Services Spain as Head of Coverage and business solutions for Spain and LatAm and she was appointed Member of the Executive Committee. In January 2020, after the JV between Santander Securities Services and CACEIS, she became part of CACEIS as "Head of Regional Coverage for Spain & LatAm”. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of CACEIS Bank Spain and Board Member of Santander CACEIS Colombia.
